May your days be merry & bright

The next few days around here will be spent visiting with family, drinking plenty of mimosas/moscato/homemade bailey's, opening presents, eating a ridiculous amount of sugar cookies, and counting our blessings.

We're so excited to see Christmas through Marleigh's eyes this year. She's mastered saying "ho ho ho" and I'm pretty sure she's ready for Santa to come visit us tonight after Luke and I have been asking her almost non-stop for the past week-ish if she's excited. We've been dancing up a storm to Christmas music for the past month, we finished up the last of our handmade gifts last night (after having a helluva time trying to figure out how to use my sewing machine..oof!), and after we wrap a few final presents, we'll begin the 4-day long Christmas celebration with all of our families!

Amidst the craziness and chaos of the Christmas season, I hope you get the chance to sit back and reflect on the true meaning of it all -- and the best gift of all -- the gift of Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas from our little family to yours! God bless!

Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother;
And in His name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.

Christ is the Lord! O praise His Name forever,
His power and glory evermore proclaim.

Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
Oh night divine, Oh night when Christ was born
