So far this week, my wallet is MIA, I found out my sister is moving 8+ hours away to a different state, and Luke just informed me that he put a staple through his hand & can't move his finger (+ his last tetanus shot was in 2004). Oye!
This week is overwhelming me already, and it's only Tuesday. I'm just trying to keep my head above water with everything going on, and I'm feeling very gloomy/sad/blah. This feeling doesn't happen often, so I'm completely out of whack – deep breaths, Sammi...
In more positive news, my beautiful sister (the one that is moving away) just got offered an amazing job (hence the moving away) at a children's educational center in the Maryland/DC area. I'm so incredibly proud of her, but this is probably the most bittersweet moment of my life. I thought it was bad when she was 3 hours away in Auburn, and now she's going to be in a different state. This makes for a very sad little sisser, but I'm glad that Luke and I will have an excuse to visit the beautiful state of Maryland more often – and maybe even Chicago for New Years Eve while she's living there for her training?! We'll see. Anyway, I'm so proud of you Tay. I know you'll do great with this new chapter of your life! Just don't forget about us back home. I still fully expect you to be home for the holidays, opening our traditional Christmas Eve jammies together and sipping mimosas on the couch. Love you!
