Thankful Thursday

It's hard to believe we've been married almost 2 weeks already! Time has flown by since the wedding day, and I have never been happier in my entire life than I have been in the past 12 days.

I recently read a book called "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp, which was amazing to say the least. In the book, Ann introduced me to the word eucharisteo. In simple translation, it means "giving thanks" to God. In my attempt to give thanks in every way I can, and to show my gratitude for everything good {and even not so good} in this newlywed life, I've decided to start "Thankful Thursday" – and although I'll never be able to list everything I'm thankful for, I'll try to hit the majors.

• Sleeping in and waking up to a decorated bathroom {#1 husband award goes to Luke}
• Lazy football Sundays at OUR home
• Cooking in the kitchen with my mom before the first football game of the season
• The Buffalo Bills winning {yes, winning} said football game
• Our brand spankin' new washer & dryer
• Snuggling into bed every night with the love of my life & waking up to his hugs and kisses every morning
• Having THE best family/families in the world. Example: my mother in law calling me yesterday morning just because she was thinking of me and wanted to tell me to have a good day
• Our first "Wine Wednesday" with my sister in law, her husband, and their little monkey {my precious niece}
• Waking up 3 times every night this week with terrible stomach pains and having Luke know exactly when I need to be snuggled {even when he's asleep. The man is magic, I tell ya}
• Making it through our first "financial crisis" this week with no arguing
• Having a God who is so compassionate that he answered our prayers about said crisis the next day – problem solved. "The closest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor." {truth}
• Going to bed and having Luke ask me what he can pray about for me for the next day, and me doing the same for him. Seriously, amazing. Do this.
• My beautiful big sister coming to visit this weekend!
• Crisp fall weather.
• Finally busting out my favorite ugly gray-ish chunky knit grandpa sweater for the day.
• THE WEEKEND IS COMING!
