Four weeks into this photo project and I'm finally caught up! This little series of photos of Marleigh playing captures our daily routine pretty perfectly, if I do say so myself. We play (lately she's obsessed with her Little People farm from Christmas - shown here feeding the horsey fake chips), she decides she's done playing and runs around the house like a little lunatic, and the aftermath of said playing is left scattered throughout the living room until we decide to sing the "Clean Up" song and pick up her mess.

Ever since Marleigh became mobile (at around 5 months old), it's been extremely difficult to capture any photos of her without her being a blur across the camera screen! One of these days I'll get her to sit still and get her to stop trying to push the button on my DSLR. She sure knows how to keep me on my toes!

Contrary to what these portrait photos might lead you to believe thus far, I promise there are days that we get out of our pajamas and actually leave the house! Thanks to the Polar Vortex and unreasonably cold temperatures lately, however, that hasn't happened too often in the past couple weeks. So, until Mother Nature decides to give us a break and raise the temperature above, ohh, around 10 degrees, you get to enjoy photos of a warm snuggly MJ. Deal with it!

I had a few different photos to choose from that I had taken for Week 3, but this one seemed the most fitting. We've been trying to break Marleigh of her binky habit during the day, so we've been telling her that the only time she can have it is when she is sleepy and laying down. She'll come up to us, ask for her "beeee," and go lay down until we give it to her. Then, when she's ready to get up and play again, she'll pop the binky out of her mouth and give it back to us (most times). Such a silly little thing!

Last weekend, Marleigh got to spend a couple nights at Mimi and Papa's house while Luke and I were helping with a benefit for his aunt's mom, who was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and recently suffered a stroke. The event went great and Marleigh had a wonderful time with her grandparents! She has been calling for "Mimiiii! Papaaa!" almost every day since. I think we know where we stand on her favorite people rankings! Note: this is a phone picture snapped by my mom. Thanks, Mimi!

I came across this photo idea from Bleubird last year and loved watching her beautiful children grow through the weeks. At the start of 2014, I made it one of my many resolutions to take more actual pictures of Marleigh Jo. And like most of the resolutions I've set for myself this year, I've fallen behind with this one. So here I am playing catch-up, seeing as we are two full weeks into January.

I did, however, take these during the first full week of the year, so kudos to me for that at least.

Anyhoo... here is our MJ. Snacking on a Rice Krispy treat and watching Barney ("Ba-eeey") on Netflix, sporting her kitty pajama top and some baggy polka dot pants. Nothing but glamour over here, folks!

I love this little face so stinkin' much and I can't wait to watch her grow through these photos throughout the year!
